EMMANUEL VIEIRA

One of Facility Service’s employees, Emmanuel Vieira, has been chosen as an Outstanding Staff Employee for 2007/08. This program has been in place since 1972. Three staff and three faculty awardees are nominated by their peers. This is a great honor for Emmanuel.

On Tuesday, May 20, 2008, Mark Hunter, Director of Facility Services presented Emmanuel with a letter from President Baker. A formal presentation will take place during Fall Conference, at which time the three staff and three faculty awardees will be called on stage to receive their plaques and shake the President's hand.

Emmanuel has been on campus since 1992 and his current position is a "Laborer" for Custodial Services. Emmanuel assists the Custodial Supervisor and Lead Custodian in providing a safe and sanitary work environment for all campus personnel by performing a wide variety of interior and exterior cleaning, moving and set-up tasks.
