One of Facility Service’s employees, Ben Johnson, has been chosen as an Outstanding Staff Employee for 2007/08. This program has been in place since 1972. Three staff and three faculty awardees are nominated by their peers. This is a great honor for Emmanuel.
On Tuesday, June 5, 2008, Mark Hunter, Director of Facility Services presented Ben with a letter from President Baker. A formal presentation will take place during Fall Conference, at which time the three staff and three faculty awardees will be called on stage to receive their plaques and shake the President's hand.
Ben been working on campus since 1994. First in ASI from 1994 - 2005 and presently in Facility Services since 2005. His current position is Lead Electrician in Facility Services.
The duties of a Lead Electrician include providing journey-level electrical services to the campus community. This work is accomplished displaying professional responsibility and judgment, creativity, commitment, and initiative. The Lead Electrician also provides leadership and technical expertise for a broad range of electrical needs. Ben provides a quality end product that meets or exceeds our customers' expectations in a timely and cost effective manner.
