Facility Services maintains the campus-wide Lost and Found service. When an item is found on campus, it should be delivered to Facility Services (Bldg. 70) as soon as possible.
Facility Services will attempt to locate the owner if the item is clearly marked with the owner's name. If a phone number or address is available, Facility Services personnel will call or email notifying the owner that their item has been found.
If you have lost an item, visit or call Facility Services. Items will be released only after an accurate description of the item is given. In the case of calculators, a serial number may be required before the item is released. If you have lost a book, please have the exact title of the book, as all books are logged by title.
Property not claimed after six months is sold through an on-line auction site for public agencies: www.publicsurplus.com . Proceeds are deposited in a Cal Poly Scholarship Fund.
Note: It sometimes takes several weeks for items to arrive at Facility Services from academic departments and other areas of campus. Individuals seeking lost items are encouraged to recheck Facility Services periodically.
