What can I put in the blue bins?

You can put anything that is recyclable into the blue bins except toner cartridges, batteries and food (for composting). Click here for more information.

What can I do with unwanted but still usable items?

If they are personal item, there are a number of charities in town that will take almost any usable item. Housing has a collection program to collect unwanted items at the end of each quarter to take to a charity.

 

What is a recyclable item?

A recyclable item is any material that is no longer useful ans can be processsed and made into another usable item. Materials include most paper products, cardboard, drink containers, all metals, envelopes, junk mial, untreated wood, asphalt and concrete.
